garlic knots
~4 servings
in a small bowl
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2.25 tsp yeast (1 packet)
in a mixing bowl
- 2.5 cups flour
- 1.5 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic, minced or grated
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
toppings
- melted butter
- chopped parsley
- shredded parmesan
steps
- combine small bowl and stir, sit for 5 minutes to bloom
- mix the other bowl well, then add all the wet
- medium speed dough hook until it forms a ball
- coat a large clean bowl with olive oil
- shape dough to a neat ball and transfer to oiled bowl
- cover with plastic wrap for 45 minutes at room temp
- preheat over to 450
- punch down the dough, flatten on floured surface
- divide into 10 by weight, pull into 8 inch lengths
- tie ropes into knots, place the ball evenly spaced on tray
- bake 10-12 minutes until golden brown
- brush with melted butter, add the toppings, eat
